What is 3-Gun?

Multigun is an action shooting sport consisting of a combination of Rifle, Pistol, and Shotgun. Essentially the sport is timed golf. The stages are the course and you have the 3 aforementioned firearms at your disposal to neutralize all the targets. Scores are based upon time. The fastest time to neutralize all the targets wins. Misses or errors are scored in the form of standardized penalties added to a competitors time. Competitors are separated into differing divisions based upon the equipment they choose to use. Some divisions are fairly restrictive like Limited- which allows no magnified optics. Conversely Open has very few equipment restrictions. There are also exotic divisions like Heavy Metal which require the use of larger caliber firearms. There is an equipment division to encompass any sort of contemporary semi-auto firearm.
