The first step in the membership process is you filling out the application and either mailing or  emailing it in. You can download the application here: WGC Application.

Write clearly please, make sure your email address is accurate and legible. This will be our means of contacting you!

Make sure your NRA membership number and expiration date are included on the application. It is a requirement as we are a full NRA membership club. There is a link to join the NRA on our membership page. Using that link helps support our junior program and they appreciate the support.

Include your sponsors name who is a current club member on your application. They will be required to speak on your behalf, choose wisely. A sponsor needs to have been a full member for 12 months or more to be considered as a sponsor. If you do not have a sponsor, provide two references for contact.

Once your application is received you will get a confirmation email from the membership director letting you know we have received your application, and you are placed on the waiting list.

Our current membership waiting list is 12 – 18 months.

During this time, you are allowed, and we encourage you to participate in any of our organized leagues or matches. See the event calendars on our website for details.

When your name comes up on the waiting list you will be notified via email that you will be up for a vote to candidate member status at the next membership meeting. it is recommended you attend this meeting but not required. We will try to notify you a couple weeks in advance of the meeting.

If you pass the candidate member vote you are officially a candidate member, pending background check.

You will receive email notification and candidate member welcome letter.

Typically, within a couple days of the vote.

Now the membership process begins.

You will also receive another application (to bring your information current) and a background check information page. These can be filled out and returned via email, snail mail or brought along with your check for $195 to a membership meeting.

$20 is for the application fee and $175 will be applied to your prorated annual membership dues.

These forms must be returned with your candidate dues within 45 days of receipt of the notification email. If you do not return them in 45 days you will be removed from the process and considered to no longer be interested in membership.

This process varies based on you having a current member sponsor you or not.

Membership meeting requirements:

With a current member sponsor, you are required to attend two membership meetings. Without a sponsor you are required to attend four membership meetings. Be sure to sign in at the meetings you attend so it gets recorded. You will be asked to introduce yourself and tell us about your shooting interests and favorite firearm at each meeting you attend.

Keep an eye on the indoor calendar on the website for membership meeting dates. Typically, the first Wednesday of the month, but can change.

Workday or revenue producing event requirements:

With a current member as a sponsor, you are also required to participate in 12 work hours or revenue producing event/s. Without a sponsor you are required to participate in 32 work hours or revenue producing events/s. Again, make sure you sign in with the event coordinator to get credit for your time.

Keep an eye on the calendar for upcoming workdays or matches you may be able to help with.

Probationary period:

With a current member as a sponsor your probationary period will be 3 months minimum. Without a sponsor your probationary period will be six months minimum. You will not be eligible for a full membership vote until the time has lapsed for your probationary period

These requirements must be completed within 12 months from the candidate vote.

Once these requirements are met there is a vote at a membership meeting. You will be notified that you are up for a vote and will need to attend this meeting to advance to full membership. Your sponsor is required to attend this meeting also.

The last item for you to complete is a range rules and operations orientation. You will be provided with a copy of the member guidebook and sign off that you received and agree to abide by all rules, restrictions and safe operation while using any range.
